NKR President lays wreath at Genocide Victims Monument in Lyons

President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakian today laid a wreath at Monument to the Victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide in Lyons, the press service of the NKR president said.

The NKR president attached importance to the existence of such monuments in the Diaspora in terms of preserving the historical memory of the Armenian people and presenting the truth to the international community.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the NKR Arthur Aghabekian, Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan, Armenian Ambassador to France Vigen Chitechian, Armenian Consul General in Lyons Nikolai Sarkisov, Permanent Representative of the NKR in France Hovhannes Gevorgian, and other officials.
