Man hospitalized after fire in Yerevan apartment building

Ministry of Emergency Situations received a phone call at 06:51 am today about smoke coming from an apartment on the first floor of building No 35 on Halabian Street in Yerevan. Two fire brigades of MES were sent to the scene.

The fire was contained at 07:13 am and extinguished at 07:28 am.

The fire destroyed a 22-square-meter sitting room along with furniture. The apartment owner, 40, suffered burns and was taken to the Radiation Medicine and Burn Center of Health Ministry, according to the MES.

He is in grave condition.
