French ambassador: EU doors open for cooperation

Armenia’s decision on entry into the Customs Union is worthy of respect - it is a decision taken by a sovereign republic, French Ambassador to Armenia Henri Reynaud told reporters today.

According to the ambassador, he has no information that Armenia made that decision under Moscow’s pressure. The diplomat stressed that the decision will not affect the Armenian-French relationship.

‘The doors of the European Union are open for cooperation. The EU will continue developing its relations with Armenia in all possible directions. We know that the Armenian authorities have always expressed a wish to maintain links with various bodies of the EU in accordance with the decision already taken,” Henri Reynaud said.
