Tachat Vardapetian sets hopes on new Georgian president
Deputy of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) parliamentary faction, native of Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia, Tachat Vardapetian hopes that the problems of Javakhk will be solved now that the party of Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili came to power.
“Democracy won in the Georgian elections and I set my hopes on the new president. I hope he will solve the existing problems in Javakhk, in particular, problems related to the preservation of the Armenian language and culture”, the MP said.
T. Vardapetian is also hopeful that Georgian-Russian relations will improve, which will have a positive effect on the Armenian-Georgian relationship, especially taking into account Armenia’s decision to join the Customs Union.
