Avagian: November 5 events have nothing to do with political struggle

The events that took place on Mashtots Avenue of Yerevan on November 5 had nothing to do with political struggle, the parliamentary deputy Karen Avagian told Aysor.am.

What happened is not part of a political struggle, the deputy said. “Regrettably, the application of law is perceived by a group of people as restrictions on political freedoms. Without regard for legal issues, some figures hastened to make statements, while it were policemen who were beaten with batons,” Avagian said, adding that such behavior involving elements of violence is unjustifiable.
