Car catches fire on Meghri-Tghkut motorway

Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call at 12:11 pm today that a car was burning on Meghri-Tghkut motorway. A crew was sent to the scene.

It was found that a Mercedes left the carriageway, hit a power pole, fell into a gorge and caught fire.

The driver wasn’t injured. He was able to get out prior to the rescuers’ arrival.

The fire was contained at 1:05 pm and extinguished at 1:08 pm. The car burnt down.
