NKR president meets delegation led by Yerevan mayor

President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakian received a delegation of the Yerevan Municipality led by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margarian.

Issues related to cooperation between the capitals of the two Armenian republics were discussed at the meeting, with special attention being paid to the project of creating a Park of Soldier-Liberators in the center of Stepanakert, the press office of the NKR president said.

The NKR president stressed the importance of that initiative for development of culture and architecture and patriotic upbringing of the younger generation. Bako Sahakian thanked the Yerevan municipality for participation in the project’s implementation, considering it one of the best examples of cooperation.

Among the meeting participants were Stepanakert Mayor Suren Grigorian, Deputy Defense Minister of the NKR, chairman of Union of Artsakhi Soldier-Liberators NGO Samvel Karapetian, Urban Development Minister of the NKR Karen Shahramanian, and other officials.
