Aram Manukian: Accumulative pension system is ‘robbery of population’

“If the draft law on introduction of the compulsory accumulative pension system is postponed until 2015, the whole budget will be ruined as it is built on this draft law,” said the secretary of Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Aram Manukian.

He welcomed the protest action against the draft law, being staged outside the parliament at that moment.

In the words of Aram Manukian, the compulsory accumulative pension system is a ‘robbery of the population’. “Accumulations should not be made forcibly,” the deputy said, adding that they will contribute to the movement against the draft law.

We would remind you that the Armenian parliament’s special session on the postponement of the compulsory accumulative pension system’s introduction until 2015 did not take place today due to the refusal of the faction of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia to attend the session.
