Daniel Baer: Meeting of presidents can give new impetus

The meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents can give renewed impetus to the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the U.S. Ambassador to the OSCE Daniel Baer said at the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna Friday, according to Azernews.

“We welcome confirmation that the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia intend to meet and discuss next steps in the settlement process. It is time to turn words into action”, the Baer stated.

According to him, there is no alternative to a peaceful, negotiated settlement.
