Republicans hamper special session of National Assembly
The Armenian parliament’s special session, which was convened today on the initiative of the National Assembly’s non-coalition factions in order to discuss the postponement of the compulsory accumulative pension system’s introduction until 1 January 1 2015, didn’t take place.
Parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamian said that the faction of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia considers it inexpedient to participate in the special session. There was no quorum and a three-hour break was announced.
