Azerbaijani armed forces open fire on Tavush province in Armenia
Despite the calls of the Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, the Azerbaijani armed forces once again violated the ceasefire around 12:30 pm today and opened heavy gunfire on areas of Tavush province in Armenia. The spokesman for Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisian wrote on his Facebook page that gunfire lasted until 2:00 pm local time.
“In particular, they fired at civilian cars moving towards Vazashen village and at other sections as well. They used mainly machineguns and large-caliber arms. Luckily no one was injured.
Armenian armed forces, adhering to Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian’s order, keep silence.
The Azerbaijani side once again violates the ceasefire and ignores all calls for peace, due to which it will bear all responsibility for the incident,” Artsrun Hiovhannisian wrote.
