Rita Sargsyan: We need to help each couple wishing to become parents

First Lady of Armenia Rita Sargsyan called for national unity, stressing the need to concentrate efforts of all the Armenians and support families who need services of reproductive medicine.

“I call upon al Armenians scattered around the world and all people of good will to unite their efforts in order to bring the happiness of maternity to women facing that problem. We should do it in both words in deeds.

In Armenia there are many families, for whom the birth of their own child is an unattainable dream. Infertility clouds happiness of many Armenian homes.

In many cases it may result in the disintegration of a family facing such a problem. Yet modern medical achievements enable to help such families. The successes of reproductive medicine in Armenia are gratifying. We currently have all the opportunities to give the necessary medical aid to families that have encountered infertility problem. And quality medical aid in Armenia is much more accessible than abroad.

Nevertheless many families cannot afford those services. All Armenians who rallied around the Aragil Foundation are convinced that such families should not be left to face their difficulties alone,” the statement of Aragil Foundation reads.

The foundation was established in 2011. It aims to assist with solution of demographic problems and the organization of reproductive medicine in Armenia. The Aragil Foundation operates under the auspices of First Lady of Armenia Rita Sargsyan.
