Serzh Sargsyan and John Kerry have phone conversation

On the evening of November 18, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan had a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, on the initiative of the American side.

The sides discussed issues related to Armenian-American relations and bilateral cooperation, as well as the November 19 meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to be held in Vienna, with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, according to the presidential press service.

Ahead of the upcoming meeting in the Austrian capital, the U.S. secretary of state reiterated the full support of the United States for a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The sides stressed that there is no alternative to a peaceful resolution through negotiations and that mutually acceptable mechanisms of resolution need to be found based on the fundamental principles.
