HAK to join demand for special session of parliament

The parliamentary faction of Armenian National Congress (HAK) Party held a siting today to discuss the complaint of members of the civil initiative opposed to the introduction of the compulsory accumulative pension system.

A decision was made at the sitting that the members of HAK faction are prepared to sign under the statement demanding that a special session of the Armenian parliament on that issue should be called any day.

The introduction of the compulsory accumulative pension system is stipulated by the Law on Accumulative Pensions adopted by the National Assembly in 2010. By the law, a voluntary component of the accumulative system has been used since 2011, while the compulsory component will be introduced on January 1, 2014
