Italian ambassador completes diplomatic mission in Armenia
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today Italian Ambassador Bruno Scapini who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.
S. Sargsyan thanked Ambassador Scapini for his significant work aimed at deepening the ties of the two friendly countries. He stated with satisfaction that the bilateral political dialog, as well as economic links have become more active in recent years, which has also affected bilateral trade volumes, the presidential press service said.
According to the president, efficient and mutually beneficial cooperation has formed between Armenia and Italy in such spheres as defense, education, culture, tourism, etc., and Ambassador Scapini has made a significant contribution to that.
Bruno Scapini said that he as a diplomat considers it a great honor to be an ambassador to Armenia and that during his tenure in Armenia, he saw that Armenia and Italy have much in common, from their cultural and historic similarities to their approaches to global developments. He noted that although his diplomatic mission is completed, his personal mission, that is, to be of use to Armenia and the Armenian people is not over.
