Russia and Armenia interested in deepening bilateral cooperation

Russia is Armenia’s strategic partner and the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) will do its best so that Armenian-Russian allied relations will be developing in all the directions, HHK spokesman Edward Sharmazanov told Aysor.am.

He said that Russia and Armenia are interested in deepening their bilateral cooperation.

Speaking about the sitting of the HHK Executive Body held last evening, Sharmazanov said that the meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan was discussed.

‘The Armenian side assesses the meeting as normal and positive because the negotiations have resumed,” he said.

As regards the signals from Ankara concerning Armenian-Turkish relations, E. Sharmazanov noted that Turkey should first of all lift the blockade of Armenia and abandon its one-sided position on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
