Stamp in honor of Chairmanship of CE Committee of Ministers canceled

Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Transport and Communication Minister Gagik Beglarian cancelled today the postage stamp issued in honor of Armenia’s Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, according to the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry.

The stamp canceling ceremony was held in Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and attended by ambassadors accredited to Armenia and representatives of HayPost CJSC.

“In the past six month Armenia chaired at one of Europe’s oldest and most influential organizations – the Council of Europe. Armenia carried out its mission actively and efficiently. In the past six months we made a significant contribution to realization of the Council of Europe’s goals.

The ceremony of canceling the postage stamp symbolizing Armenia’s Chairmanship of the CE Committee of Ministers completes a series of planned events and makes Armenia’s Chairmanship of that organization a perpetual symbol.

I would like the postage stamps symbolizing Armenia’s Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers to continue to disseminate the fundamental values and principles of the Council of Europe,” Edward Nalbandian said.
