Minasian: De facto, Nagorno Karabakh is territory of Customs Union

“Goods imported into Armenia automatically appear in Nagorno Karabakh, just as goods made in Nagorno Karabakh later appear in Armenia, that is, in the territory of the Customs Union,” member of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) parliamentary faction Gagik Minasian told reporters.

According to him, they were told at the Minsk discussions on the Customs Union issue that there will be no customs stations between Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.

“This is an important circumstance: in this case Nagorno Karabakh becomes a territory of the Customs Union,” the deputy said.

In his words, from the economic point of view, the Customs Union members de facto recognized that circumstance.
