Sharmazanov: Putin’s visit was unprecedented in its outcome

“Ordinary Armenians will feel the positive results of the Russian president’s visit to Armenia. That visit was unprecedented in its outcome,” the vice speaker of the Armenian parliament Edward Sharmazanov said.

“The visit of the president of Armenia’s ally proved once again that the military-technical and military-political strategic relations should continue, which is an additional guarantee of security,” he noted.

Sharmazanov considered as natural Vladimir Putin’s statement to the effect that Russia has no intention of leaving Transcaucasia and wants to consolidate its positions here. “Each country has its geopolitical interests. Besides, it was a positive statement for Armenia,” the vice speaker said.
