Minasian wants government to state grounds for ARG shares sale

“On what grounds does the government sell 20% of the shares of ArmRosGazprom Company?” the deputy of ARF-Dashnaktsutyun faction Artsvik Minasian said during the government hour in the parliament today.

In response to his question, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Armen Movsisian said that the agreements will be submitted to the parliament for ratification.

“We will have discussions when the documents are submitted to the parliament,” the minister said.

We would remind you that Russia’s Gazprom signed an agreement on the purchase of 20% of the shares of ArmRosGazprom (ARG) Company. Gazprom’s chief Alexei Miller made that announcement at the ceremony of launching of the Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant’s 5th unit.

In his words, Gazprom will be 100% owner of ArmRosGazprom Company that will become its subsidiary.
