Protesters threaten to block Bagramian Avenue

A protest against the introduction of a compulsory accumulative pension system in Armenia is being staged outside the Armenian parliament. The head of the Nikol Aghbalian youth wing of the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun Party, Gerasim Vardanian, said the problem concerns everyone and all sections of the population should join the protest.

Protesters said they will block Bagramian Avenue if their demands are not met.

The parliament will hold a vote on the bill on the compulsory accumulative pension system today.
