Edward Nalbandian meets 2014 OSCE chairman-in-office

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met today in Kiev with Swiss Foreign Minister, OSCE Chairman-in-Office in 2014 Didier Burkhalter, the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

E. Nalbandian congratulated Swiss counterpart on election as President of the Swiss Confederation and the upcoming chairmanship of the OSCE from January 1, 2014.

The ministers discussed issues related to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and, in this context, the support for the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs. Nalbandian stated about Armenia’s support with implementation of the agenda proposed under Switzerland’s chairmanship of the OSCE.

Minister Nalbandian also met with the OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.

The sides discussed the latest developments in the talks on the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict. They appreciated the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs on a peaceful resolution of the conflict and their steps aimed at reducing tension in the region.
