HAK stages a march

Armenian National Congress (HAK) Party and representatives of a number of civil initiatives are staging today a march on the occasion of Human Rights Day.

Prior to the march, HAK parliamentary faction deputy Levon Zurabian said that those who gathered in Liberty Square struggle for various rights, but they all are united by the idea of struggle.

He read aloud the text of a resolution on human rights in Armenia, saying that he intends to submit that resolution to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

The resolution says that “in Armenia human rights are systematically violated, and people cannot exercise the right to elect authorities”.

The resolution was approved by those present, after which the march began.
