Altercation during HAK march in Yerevan

A group of people gathered yesterday in Liberty Square and then marched through the streets of Yerevan on the occasion of Human Rights Day. The Armenian National Congress (HAK) Party had notified the Yerevan municipality of its march, but other activist groups also joined the procession.

Various slogans were chanted during the march, while the rainbow flag of the LGBT movement was also carried by a participant. This fact enraged a participant who got into an altercation with civic activist Ms. Lala Aslikian holding the LGBT flag.
