N. Zohrabian: Compulsory accumulative pension system is state racket

The introduction of the compulsory accumulative pension system is a state racket, the secretary of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) parliamentary faction Naira Zohrabian said today.

“This formula is a state racket, it cannot be called differently. If the system was so good, then what prevented you from using the voluntary accumulative pension system since 2011 in order to ensure a prosperous old age for yourselves three years earlier?” the deputy said.

As regards the employers who support the compulsory component’s introduction and are prepared to raise salaries of their employees to avoid problems, Ms. Zohrabian noted that such a work style cannot last long.

“You cannot work in this way for 30-40 years. You aren’t self-killers, are you? It is clear that this selflessness will continue for several months until this wave of protests fades away, after which you will tell your employees that you are not going to work in that mode anymore,” N. Zohrabian said.
