Iran’s FM: No obstacles to development of Armenian-Iranian relations

There are not any obstacles in the development of Armenian-Iranian relations, the IRNA news agency quoted Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif as saying at a meeting with Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharian.

“There is great potential for development in trade and other branches of economy and this potential should be aimed at the promotion of bilateral relations. The nee government of Iran pays much attention to the development of relations with neighbors,” the Iranian foreign minister stated.

In his words, Iran considers it necessary that regional conflicts should be resolved by peaceful means with the aim of creating an atmosphere of friendship between countries.

 
For his part, Shavarsh Kocharian welcomed the agreements reached between Iran and the Group 5+1.
