Transport Ministry: 35 organizations involved in snow removal work

Armenian Ministry of Transport and Communication said that most recent information on road conditions and snow removal work is available on the ministry’s official website. A special hotline – 56-25-33 was also set up by the ministry.

“In the past few days the mass media reported information on road conditions in Armenia, which often did not correspond to reality,” the ministry said in a statement.

The transport ministry asked the mass media to take as a basis only information provided by the ministry in order to avoid misunderstandings.

“Transport Ministry bears responsibility for 3,500 km of roads of interstate and republican importance. Large-scale snow removal work has been done recently.

35 organizations and about 400 snow plows and street sprinklers are involved in work,” the ministry said.
