Peter O’Toole, star of Lawrence of Arabia, dies at 81

Legendary actor Peter O'Toole has died at the age of 81.

O'Toole achieved stardom in 1962 playing Lawrence in " Lawrence of Arabia" and then went on to become a highly honoured film and stage actor. He was nominated for eight Academy Awards.

He passed away on Sunday at the Wellington hospital in London following a long illness, his agent said.
