Cartridges found near Garni Temple

Many residents of Garni village are opposed to the construction of a café near Garni Temple. Besides, rumors are circulating in the village that ancient tools and weapons were found during earthwork. Garni village administrator Ashot Vardanian told Aysor.am that cartridges were discovered during earthwork and sent for archeological examination.

As regards the construction of a café in the vicinity of the Garni pagan temple, the village administrator said that construction work should be done in the prescribed manner as the site is a specially protected area.
