Minister: Armenian medical institutions to shift to noncash payment

Medical institutions of Armenia will shift to non-cash payments starting from 2014, Health Minister Derenik Dumanian said.

In his words, ministry representatives will visit medical institutions to conduct monitoring with the aim of revealing shortcomings in service provision.

The minister said the ‘shadow’ turnover was reduced at the oncological center, as a result of which 1 billion drams was transferred to the center’s budget and salaries of the personnel increased.

To ensure transparency of work, medical institutions will have their websites, with all necessary information available there.
