Ambulance service receives 6,851 calls in first days of 2014

Ambulance Service received 6,851 calls on December 30-January 7: their number increased by 879 compared with the same period of last year. The greatest number of calls (830) was received on January 4, the director of Ambulance Service Ms. Taguhi Stepanian told reporters.

According to her, 1,139 people were hospitalized. In 2013 Ambulance CJSC received 218,597 calls – by 16,140 calls more than in 2012.

Most complaints are related to cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, and injuries.
