G. Yeghiazarian: Robert Kocharian not concerned about situation in country

The Armenian president, rather than Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan is the main target of Robert Kocharian. Member of Armenian National Congress (HAK) Gurgen Yeghiazarian expressed this opinion at a meeting with journalists today when commenting on the recent interview of second Armenian President Robert Kocharian.

“At the end of last year Kocharian showed a yellow card to Serzh Sargsyan and it is not ruled out that he will be appointed prime minister by compulsion,” Yeghiazarian said.

In his words, Robert Kocharian is concerned not about the situation in Armenia, but about what will happen after the expiry of Serzh Sargsyan’s term of office. “Kocharian is thinking only about himself. I want to say that after the term of Serzh Sargsyan ends, Kocharian will find himself in a difficult position and he understands that,” Gurgen Yeghiazarian said.
