NKR president participates in sitting of DA Military Council

President of Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakian participated in the sitting of the Military Council of the NKR Defense Army to summarize the 2013 results, the press service of the Office of NKR President reported.

In his speech, the president addressed the army building process, indicating the achievements and the existing problems.
Army building was and will be a major direction of state building in the NKR, Bako Sahakian stressed.

As for the situation on the border with Azerbaijan, the president said that Baku continues to blatantly violate the ceasefire, make threats against Artsakh and Armenia, violate the fundamental norms and principles of international law, adding that under such conditions we should be more vigilant and take the initiative, not yielding to provocations.

The president then gave instructions to the defense minister and top officers of the Defense Army regarding the fulfillment of tasks of the NKR Armed Forces.
