Helicopter squadron of Russian military base set up in Armenia

A squadron of the command of the Air Force and the Air Defense of Russia’s Southern Military District has been set up at the Russian military base located in Erebuni military airfield in Armenia, the press service of the Southern Military District said, according to Voice of Russia radio.

The squadron will consist of Mi-24P, Mi-8MT and MI-8CMB helicopters for fulfillment of a wide range of tasks.

It is planned to deliver helicopters to the airfield in 2014.
