'Not every politician giving interview wants to return to politics'

There was nothing new in the criticism that second Armenian President Robert Kocharian expressed in his interview, member of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), economist Vardan Bostanjian told reporters today.

According to him, the only news was that such opinions were voiced by the second president - something that made them more topical.

“He accurately described the situation in the country. When the time is ripe, he will announce his return to politics. There is not need to make assumptions,” Bostanjian noted.

As regards the rumors about the ex-president’s possible comeback, Vardan Bostanjian did not say anything specific, just noting that everyone is discussing that subject now.

“I can say only one thing: citizens in our country rapidly figure out what to do, irrespective of their party affiliation and political views. Time will show if Robert Kocharian will return and if he is in demand in Armenian society,” Bostanjian said.

In his words, not every former politician expressing his opinion in an interview wants to return to politics.
