Artsrun Hovhannisian: Azerbaijan’s provocations will not go unpunished

Azerbaijan will answer for its provocative actions, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisian told the correspondent of Aysor.am when commenting on Azerbaijan’s subversion on the line of contact of the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

“Azerbaijan’s provocations failed as the situation on the border is under control of the Armenian troops. No action will go unpunished,” Artsrun Hovhannisian said.

On the night of January 20 the armed forces of the NKR noticed two simultaneous attempts by Azerbaijani subversive groups to infiltrate in the northeastern (Jraberd) and southeastern (Korgan) directions of the line of contact of the Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces.

The frontline units of the Nagorno Karabakh troops launched an organized defense. The enemy’s subversive groups were thrown back suffering human and material losses.

Junior Sergeant of the NKR armed forces Armen Hovhannisian was killed in the shooting.
