Several Azerbaijani websites hacked by Armenian hackers last night
In response to the Azerbaijani side’s subversive act in Nagorno Karabakh on the night of January 20, Armenian hackers have hacked 13 websites.
During a press conference today, information security expert Samvel Martirosian called the attack on Armenian websites by Azerbaijani hackers a ‘seasonal exacerbation’.
“They call this day ‘Black January’ in connection with the events of January 20, 1990 when Soviet troops entered Baku. They will keep silence for two weeks, preparing for the next calendar day – the Khojalu events. The next attack of Azerbaijani hackers should be expected on February 26-28,” Martirosian noted.
According to him, in 2014 Azerbaijani hackers failed to hack many sites as compared with last year. “We now speak about 60 websites, but in reality their number is smaller,” the expert said.
In his words, the main problem with the latest attack is that websites of various Karabakh departments, which are not protected as well as Armenian websites, have become the target of Azerbaijani cyber criminals.
