Deputy mayor: Record amount of asphalt work done in Yerevan this year

A record amount of asphalt work has been done in Yerevan this year, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan told a press conference in the Yerevan Municipality today, adding that asphalt work done this year exceeds 6 times the 2010 index.

“2.5 million square meters of roads were covered with asphalt in 2013. 13 billion drams was allocated from the city budget for repairs and reconstruction of Yerevan streets and sidewalks. Allocations for 2014 amount to 4.2 billion drams”, the deputy mayor said, noting that in addition to repairs of city sidewalks and squares, two large transport nodes were put into operation in Yerevan.
