A. Saghatelian: Serzh Sargsyan spent personal money in South Korea

Serzh Sargsyan has no health problems, the Armenian president’s spokesman Arman Saghatelian said in response to a question of Epress.am.

South Korean website chosun.com reported on January 24 that Serzh Sargsyan attended Chaum Medical Center where he had rejuvenation treatment for a week. Serzh Sargsyan and the group accompanying him paid $185 thousand for the services.

“I have repeatedly refuted and now I refute again the absurd gossip that President Sargsyan has health problems. This is not true. As for questions about the president’s vacation in the first half of January, as was mentioned earlier, it was a private one, therefore no public information about its details was released.

As far as I know, while on vacation, the president also visited a rejuvenation center, but as a preventive measure, rather than for treatment. The sum you mentioned was the payment for services provided to the whole group, and not only to the president. The payment for services provided to Serzh Sargsyan is part of the total sum. It is much less than the abovementioned sum and was paid from his personal declared funds,” Arman Saghatelian said.
