Artsrun Hovhannisian: Ceasefire violations have declined

The number of ceasefire violations on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has declined in the past two days, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisian told Aysor.am.

Nevertheless, tension on the Line of Contact remains, A. Hovhannisian said.

On the night of January 20, Armenian servicemen foiled Azerbaijani troops’ subversive attempts to infiltrate into Armenian territory. Tension continued along the Line of Contact for a few days. Yesterday Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said that its military aircraft were flying along the Azerbaijani border.

Fir its part, Defense Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh said in a statement that the NKR air defense forces are following the flights and are in full control of the situation.
