Arthur Baghdasarian: CSTO secretary general will visit Armenia
“The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization has repeatedly reacted to ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan and we cannot expect a reaction from them each time,” Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Arthur Baghdasarian said at a meeting with journalists today when commenting on the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“The Secretary General of the CSTO will visit Armenia soon. This issue will be discussed. But they repeatedly condemned the use of force and we cannot expect them to react every time when the ceasefire is violated. We inform the CSTO of all the cases,” A. Baghdasarian said.
In his words, Azerbaijan uses snipers and initiates actions, subsequently putting the blame on Armenia.
“The tense situation on the border is alarming, but we cannot expect the OSCE Minsk Group to condemn use of force. The main thing is the constant strengthening of the Armenian armed forces. These provocations are not accidental and they should receive an assessment,” Baghdasarian stressed.
