Morningstar: As mediator OSCE Minsk Group more active than previously

According to the ambassador, they call upon the sides to refrain from ceasefire violations resulting in human casualties. He added that ceasefire violations have been reported even during the Sochi Winter Olympics.

The U.S. does everything possible for the conflict resolution, which is not easy - otherwise the conflict would have been resolved years ago, R. Morningstar said.

In his words, the OSCE Minsk Group as a mediator is more active than it was previously.

Speaking about a possible summit of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Richard Morningstar noted that such a meeting is expected to take place in the coming months, adding that the only way to solve the problem is to get down to negotiations and work out such measures that could lead to peace.
