Fees collected illegally at Yerevan parking lots

Illegal sums have been collected from drivers at parking lots in Yerevan. At the working consultation today, the Yerevan mayor gave instructions to tighten control and use the respective measures prescribed by the law to deal with the problem.

“We need to be much stricter and more consistent. I consider it unacceptable that in addition to paying an annual or some other fee for paid parking lots, our citizens also pay money to some people on streets of Yerevan. All information about those collecting illegal money at paid parking lots will be sent to the police and the prosecutor’s officer,” Mayor Taron Margarian said.
