HHK not concerned over unification of parliamentary opposition

The intention of the four non-coalition factions of the Armenian parliament to hold a vote of no confidence in the government is an attempt to remind the authorities about the opposition’s existence, the head of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction Galust Sahakian told reporters today.

“They have such a right. Republican Party is not concerned over the unification of these four forces. Moreover, we don’t even consider them a force to be reckoned with. They should at least substantiate their system of values in politics and show a fundamental approach,” he noted.

According to G. Sahakian, the opposition cannot do anything because there are no ‘political grounds’ to take any actions.

He said that instead of instilling hatred, the opposition should learn to work with society.
