NKR president visits military units in northwest of republic

President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakian visited today a number of military units in the northwest of the republic and familiarized himself with the conditions of military service there, the defense systems, and work done to reinforce the frontline, according to the press service of the NKR President’s Office.

In his words, military construction has been and will be a major direction of state building in Artsakh. In this context he stressed the need for realizable protection of the border as a component of the maintenance of peace and stability in the whole region.

Then B. Sahakian visited Madaghis-1 hydropower plant. He underlined the importance of this hydropower plant for ensuring the energy security and economic growth in the republic. He gave instructions related to efficient implementation of work.

The president was accompanied by NKR Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Aghabekian, Defense Minister Movses Hakobian and other officials.
