Ambassador Minasian meets with Vatican’s Secretary of State

The Holy See’s Secretary of State Archbishop Pietro Parolin received today Armenian Ambassador to the Vatican Mikael Minasian. The head of the Inter-Church Relations Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Primate of the Artik Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Bishop Hovakim Manukian who is on a working visit to the Vatican was also present at the meeting, Armenian Foreign Ministry said.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the further deepening of good-neighborly relations between Armenia and the Holy See as well as between the Roman Catholic Church and the Armenian Apostolic Church.

An exchange of opinions took place on problems related to the situation due to the Syrian crisis, the mass exodus of Christians, and the preservation of Christian cultural heritage in the Middle East.
