WB representative: New pension system is step in the right direction

The introduction of the new pension system in Armenia is a step in the right direction, the World Bank’s Country Manager for Armenia Jean Michel Happi said at the conference concerning the accumulative pension reforms in Armenia.

In his words, the reforms will enable to increase citizen’s incomes, develop economic markets, raise pensions and reduce poverty in the country.

‘The implementation of these reforms was a great challenge in many countries, but the results will become tangible in a few years,” Jean Michel Happi said.
