Member of Azeri delegation to OSCE participated in Safarov glorification

The head of the Armenian parliament’s permanent delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Artashes Geghamian submitted photos and videos to Regnum news agency in corroboration of the statements he made at the sitting of the OSCE PA on February 14, 2014 to the effect that the vice chair of the First Committee of the OSCE PA, member of the Azerbaijani delegation Azay Guliyev personally participated in the glorification of Ramil Safarov.

R. Safarov brutally killed Armenian officer Gurgen Margarian in Budapest in February 2004 when both were participating in a three-month English language course which was part of NATO’ Partnership for Peace Program.

“I said that the vice-chair of the First Committee of the OSCE PA, Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation member Azay Guliyev took an active part in that cynical and abominable campaign of glorifying the murderer. He denied his involvement and accused me of lying. I submit to your attention video and photo materials from Azerbaijani websites. These materials expose Azay Guliyev as a person glorifying the murderer and spreading false and slanderous information at the February 14, 2014 siting of the Standing Committee of the OSCE PA," A. Geghamian said.
