Oman’s ambassador presents credentials to Armenian president

The newly-appointed Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman Yousuf Issa Al Zadjali presented today his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the presidential press service reported.

S. Sargsyan congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success during his diplomatic mission in Armenia. The interlocutors were unanimous that the interstate relations between Armenia and the Arab countries are successfully developing based on the centuries-old friendship that links the Armenian and Arab peoples.

President Sargsyan stressed that the development of relations with the Arab world is a priority of Armenia’s foreign policy and that Yerevan attaches great importance to the development of its links with Arab countries of the Gulf, particularly with the Sultanate of Oman. The sides underlined the importance of improving the legal and contractual field for the further deepening and expansion of bilateral cooperation, with work in this direction already being done.
