‘Truth about March 1 events will be uncovered when HHK quits power’

As long as the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) constitutes a majority in the Armenian parliament, it is ruled out that a commission set up to look into the March 1, 2008 events in Yerevan will help solve those crimes and make an impartial assessment, deputy Alexander Arzumanian said today during parliamentary discussions of the draft decision to form an ad hoc commission for examination of the tragic events that took place in Yerevan on March 1, 2008.

“As long as you are here, you will prevent the slaughter committed during your rule from being exposed. These are the ABCs of politics, not an accusation,” the deputy said.

According to Arzumanian, everyone in the Armenian parliament, except members of Armenian National Congress (HAK) and Heritage factions, is involved in the concealment of the March 1 events.

“The whole truth about the March 1 events, all the circumstances will be revealed when HHK quits power, whenever it happens,” the deputy said, noting that it is no use discussing the issue in the parliament.

Arzumanian at the same time expressed confidence that justice will eventually triumph.
